Eesti keeles

Kalamaja has become excitingly multicultural in recent years and we are happy to share the color we have with others!
“Multicultural Kalamaja” is an initiative in which we introduce different nationalities who live and/or work in Kalamaja in order to integrate community members with different languages and cultures through cultural activities.

If we have active foreigners who seize the opportunity and want to introduce themselves and their culture, and if we also have enough interested people who take part in the events, then a new tradition will be born in Kalamaja, with which we enrich the “The Days of National Cultures 2025” (Rahvuskultuuride päevad 2025), will take place in Tallinn in September.

“Multicultural Kalamaja 2025” will take place between 20 and 26 September 2025

The aim of the event is to raise awareness of cultural diversity and introduce Kalamaja as an open, inclusive and creative living environment by supporting the culture of integration of ethnic minorities.

The target group of the events is primarily the residents of Kalamaja.

We want better relations to develop in the community and support the integration of local foreigners into community life.

We offer interested people of different ages, both from Estonia and abroad, the opportunity to visit free cultural events and participate in an event in the Kalamaja Museum community kitchen for a symbolic fee.

Kalamaja is one of the most interesting multicultural settlements in Tallinn with innovative architectural solutions. Many creative people have gathered in our settlement and several foreigners are active.
